Pakistan will not compromise its national interest for sake of United States
ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Thursday clarified that Pakistan will not sacrifice its interests for the sake of United States, adding that if US wants peace in the region, it should review its policy.
Talking to media, Khawaja Asif said Pakistan Army gives befitting response to Indian firing along Line of Control (LoC). It seems that neighboring country is not ready to negotiate, he added.
The minister said that Indian atrocity in occupied Kashmir is infront of everyone but the international community is not taking any action into the matter.
Nation is bearing consequences of Musharraf tenure, said Khawaja Asif.
Earlier, addressing a seminar in connection with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the foreign minister pointed out that under the corridor project, special economic zones will be set up across the country which will benefit the investors.
Khawaja Asif said that several coal based power projects will be completed this year, while work on Gwadar airport will soon be started.
In his remarks on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing, said that both the private sector and the investors are now contributing to the CPEC.
