Nawaz holds meeting to discuss allegedly fake Bani Gala NOC


ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif chaired an unofficial PML-N meeting at Punjab House on Thursday to discuss PTI chief Imran Khan’s allegedly fake No Objection Certificate (NOC).

According to details, an advisory meeting was held with other members of the party to discuss and deliberate over the issue of Imran Khan’s allegedly fake NOC and blueprint submitted to the apex court in the Bani Gala residence case.

During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif was briefed by experts on the various legal angles pertaining to the allegedly fake Bani Gala NOC .

Former secretary Union Council Bara Kahu, Muhammad Umar stated in a hearing of the apex court a day earlier that the NOC and blueprint of Imran Khan’s Bani Gala land were both fake.

He had further stated that the Union Council had not issued the No Objection Certificate to Imran Khan and other documents presented before the court were not issued by the local authority as well.

Earlier during the day, Nawaz Sharif had spoken about the allegedly fake No Objection Certificate outside the accountability court.

“I’m hearing about a fake certificate of Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence that has recently surfaced,” he said. “However, I will review this matter with my colleagues and lawyers before commenting on it.”

Nawaz Sharif said that he was not Imran Khan and would refrain from commenting or holding media talks over unauthentic reports.

“There is a huge difference between me and Imran Khan ,” he said. “I do not hold media talks to defame others with serious allegations.APP/AFP
