MIRPUR:Kashmiri delegation visiting Geneva thanked Secretary General Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for raising human rights situation of Indian occupied Kashmir at the relevant global forums.
Addressing at United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHCR), high level segment at Geneva on Wednesday, OIC Secretary General, Yousaf A.Al Othaimeen had urged the council to take steps to stop human suffering in Kashmir and demanded peaceful resolution of this seven decades old dispute, according to a message received here on Wednesday.
He said like all other nations, Kashmiris have right to decide their political future through self determination.
After his address Kashmiri delegation comprising of Altaf Hussain Wani and Syed Faiz Naqashbandi, attending the moot, thanked the OIC Secretary General for his statement and unflinching support to Kashmiris right to self determination.
The Kashmiri delegation presented him latest report on the fast deteriorating human rights situation in IOK.APP/AFP
