ISIS stops Iraqi Army at Fallujah entrance gates

BAGHDAD: ISIS militants halted Iraqi army’s strike at the southern gates of Fallujah with a counter attack.

Sources claimed that Fallujah is under heavy bombardment of ISIS due to which civilians are under great danger.

It is also claimed that most of the civilians have fled from the city but some 50,000 are still trapped there which could be used as human shields by terrorist organization.

Secretary General of Norwegian Refugee Council said “A human catastrophe is unfolding in Fallujah. Families are caught in the crossfire with no safe way out.”

“Warring parties must guarantee civilians safe exit now, before it’s too late and more lives are lost,” he added.

Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis said “The Fallujah offensive is tough… They have face a lot of heavy fighting in the past couple of days, machine gun fire, artillery fire, not to mention the constant threat of IEDs.”
