Pakistani computer expert Faizan Hussain gets Queen Young Leader Award

LONDON: Pakistani computer expert Syed Faizan Hussain has earned a good name for his country through his professional computer skills and exceptional talent in the field of computer engineering.

He received Queen’s Young Leaders Award for using technology to devise solutions for health issues and teach computer skills to children from underprivileged households.

A ceremony held at Buckingham Palace on June 30 where the winners received their awards from UK's Queen Elizabeth II.

Faizan is a social entrepreneur who uses technology to create solutions to health problems in his community.

He has developed a number of startups, including Edu-Aid, which translates sign language into spoken language, and OneHealth, a disease surveillance and tracking system which notifies health institutions about epidemic outbreaks.
