PM, FM and COAS message to the Nation on the eve of New Year

ISLAMABAD - Like other parts of the world, Pakistani nation also welcomed the advent of new year with traditional zeal and passion.
As the clock struck 12.00 am, spectacular displays of fireworks were held at several places across the country.
In his message on the advent of New Year, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that year 2019 is the year for beginning of Pakistan's golden era.
The Prime Minister said our New Year resolution is to wage jihad against the four ills of poverty, illiteracy, injustice and corruption.
Our efforts for economic development will yield fruit in 2019: FM
Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi has greeted the nation on the New Year.
In his message on the occasion, he said 2018 was the year of change and 2019 is the year of struggle.
The Foreign Minister said our efforts for economic development will yield fruit this year and through economic diplomacy foreign investment will increase manifold.
He said 2019 will be the year of economic stability, bright hopes and aspirations for the Pakistanis living abroad. He added the issues of overseas Pakistanis will be solved on priority basis.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said we will promote our external relations in accordance with our party manifesto to bring peace and stability in the region.
2019 will see Pakistan at set course on a path of sustained prosperity, peace: Finance Minister
In his tweet on the occasion of New Year, Finance Minister Asad Umar expressed the confidence that 2019 will see Pakistan at set course on a path of sustained prosperity and peace.
He said the country will also see laying the foundation of a society of equal opportunity for all its citizens.

In his message on the New Year, Director General Inter Service Public Relations, Major General Asif Ghafoor said that our national pursuit for a peaceful, prosperous & vibrant Pakistan will continue as 2019 is the year of progress.
He said that united we shall consolidate our successes. He said May Allah continues His blessings upon us.
Major General Asif Ghafoor also saluted to resilient Pakistanis & the Martyrs.
