On what grounds Nawaz Sharif has applied for appeal in IHC?

ISLAMABAD - Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has filed an appeal in the Islamabad High Court challenging the verdict of Accountability Court Islamabad in the Al-Azizia Reference case.
In the appeal, he has pleaded for annulment of punishment on the grounds that there were legal lacunas in the verdict.
A two-member division bench of Islamabad High court will hear the case.
The court in its verdict on 24th December, 2018 had awarded him seven years of rigorous imprisonment, fine of 2.5 million dollars and confiscation of his assets in question.
