Twin blasts reported in Indian Occupied Kashmir, security forces targeted

SRINAGAR - Days ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, two grenade attacks have been reported in occupied Kashmir.

Both blasts injured 10 people including two CRPF personnel and three women in the troubled south Kashmir region in the last 24 hours.

Police said militants hurled a grenade on security forces at Sherbagh Chowk in Anantnag district, which injured five civilians and two CRPF jawans, who were shifted to a hospital.

"A case has been registered and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of the incident," said a police spokesman.

Police have issued an appeal urging general public to share any information that can assist police in its investigation.
