Hudaibiya Papers Mills Case haunts Sharif family yet again

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Thursday filed a review appeal in the Supreme Court, requesting for a larger bench to review the decision of three-member bench in Hudaibya Paper Mills case.

The Supreme Court had dismissed NAB’s appeal for reopening of the Hudaibiya case on December 15, 2017.

The bench was headed by Justice Mushir Alam and comprised Justices Qazi Faez Isa and Mazhar Alam Miankhel.

The Rs1.2 billion Hudaibya Paper Mills case, involving money laundering charges against the Sharif family, was initiated by NAB in 2000 but quashed by the Lahore High Court (LHC) in 2014. The NAB had appealed the LHC decision in the Supreme Court.
