Complete shutdown in Occupied Kashmir against Indian Army brutalities

SRINAGAR- In occupied Kashmir, a march will be conducted towards Shopian town on Friday to register protest against the surge in civilian killings by Indian troops in the territory.

Call for the march has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership.

The resistance leaders have urged the people to converge at Shopian in large number and offer congregational prayers at Jamia Masjid.

Later, a rally will be conducted from Jamia Masjid to the main chowk Shopian to express solidarity with the families of five civilians who were martyred in the brutal actions of Indian troops in the district.

Meanwhile, thousands of people participated in the funeral prayers of a 10-year-old boy, Musharraf Fayaz Najar, in Datmudoor area of Shopian today. They chanted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans.

Complete shutdown continued in Shopian and Pulwama districts on the ninth consecutive day on Thursday, against the killings.

On the other hand, the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service today said that the Indian troops, in their unabated acts of state terrorism, martyred 18 Kashmiris during the last month.

147 people were injured due to the firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by the Indian troops and police against peaceful protesters while 137 civilians including Hurriyet leaders and activists were arrested.

Indian forces also destroyed and damaged 62 residential houses and disgraced 6 women during the the one month.
