Turkey warns Russia of dire consequences over air space violation
ANKARA: Turkey claimed that a Russian jet violated Turkish airspace again.

 

Turkish Foreign Ministry called Russian Ambassador and recorded protest against air space violation.

 

Turkish President said that it is against the sovereignty of the country if Russia continues the violation and it has to face the consequences for that.

 

Turkish president called Russian President for a meeting on the violation but did not get a positive nod from Moscow. 

 

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg urged Russia to respect and avoid NATO airspace violation in future as Turkey is a member of NATO.

 

Russia denied the violation claim and said that its propaganda and there is no evidence of such violation.

 

Turkey shot down a Russian jet last year over airspace violation of just 17 seconds.
