MOSCOW - New hypersonic nuclear missile with 2,000 kilometres range test launched by the Russian Military.

Russia has test fired Kinjal Dagger hypersonic missile in its Arctic Komi region against a ground target at Pemboi training ground.

According to military sources, the MiG-31K interceptor took off from the Olenegorsk airfield in northern Murmansk region.

The Kinjal missile can hit targets up to 2,000 km distant with nuclear or conventional warheads and have already been deployed in Russia’s southern military district.

Meanwhile, the Danish Defence Intelligence Service said in its annual risk assessment report that a great power play is shaping up between Russia, the United States and China, which is increasing the level of tension in the Arctic region.
