Peshawar University attack: Huge quantity of arms and ammunition recovered from dead terrorists

Twelve people, mostly students were martyred and 25 others injured in a terrorist attack at Agriculture Training Institute in Peshawar on Friday.

According to police and Rescue 1122, three terrorists broke into the premises of the institute and opened indiscriminate fire early this morning.

There are also reports of a bomb explosion inside the institute.

Soon after receiving the report, police, Army, and Rapid Response Force personnel entered the premises and tried to engage the terrorists.

The security forces killed all the terrorists. They also recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from the building.

The injured were rushed to Khyber Teaching Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Peshawar.

In their separate messages they have reiterated the national resolve for rooting terrorism with courage and determination.

They have also appreciated the effective response of security forces in the incident and said every kind of challenge will be fought bravely.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has also condemned the terrorists' attack.
