PM Nawaz Sharif sent ANP delegation to Kabul for convincing President Ashraf Ghani for a meeting

ISLAMABAD: ANP delegation met with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in president house in Kabul and convinced him to hold meeting with Prime Minister of Pakistan. ANP delegation arrived in Kabul to meet with president Ghani on the behalf of PM Nawaz. The delegation comprised Asfandyar Wali, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao. Former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa governor Shaukatullah Khan and former ambassador Ayaz Wazir were also included in the delegation. The delegation discussed bilateral ties, peace and security in the region and Afghan border situation with president Ghani. While talking with delegation, president Ghani said we will have to work together to combat with the challenge of terrorism. Ghani further said that he is ready to meet with PM Nawaz but would not compromise on his sovereignty. Afghanistan gives importance to the relationships with Pakistan. Both countries having friendly relationships. He added. ANP delegation said at the occasion that Pakistan want to see peaceful and stable Afghanistan. Both countries should create mutual understanding for the eradication of terrorism.
