MULTAN (APP): The Punjab government is extending subsidy worth Rs 12.32 billion on different fertilizers with an aim to enhance per acre production and empower farmers economically.
This was said by Vice Chancellor Dr Asif of the Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University in a statement issued here on Sunday.
The subsidy would help improve fertility of 31 million acres and also provide financial benefit to 5.2 million farmers in the province, he added.
He urged farmers to work with dedication and avail maximum benefits from the government's incentives. About subsidy amount, he added it was a part of the package announced by the Punjab government which would bring about a revolution in the agriculture sector .
