Pakistan Railways to introduce modern car-parking models

LAHORE (APP): The Pakistan Railways will introduce modern car-parking models outside railway stations and vacant railway property near markets.

A Pakistan Railways spokesman told APP on Sunday that Director Property and Land Arshad Islam Khatak and Chief Commercial Manager Khalid Khursheed Kanwar had been directed by Minister PR Khawaja Saad Rafique to make projects of international standard car parking system as well as for the upgradation of existing parking models.

These models would be made for two to three years at the initial stage.

These models would be helpful in increasing income of the railways and these parking places would also facilitate the citizens.

A uniform policy would also be evolved for the improvement of commercial and land department so that income of the PR could be raised.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier a latest modern parking system is successfully working at Lahore Railway Station under the public private partnership policy.
