Journalist picked up by armed men from his house

KARACHI: Matloob Hussain Mosvi, a journalist currently associated with an Urdu daily was picked up by armed men from his residence located in the remits of Alflah Police Station, Korangi District, on Saturday.

The family sources told Business Recorder that over a dozen armed men came in few vehicles, barged into his home at Salman e Farsi society, 50A/364 around 4 am, held entire family hostage, and took him away with his laptop, mobile phone and wallet, leaving the family at a state of shock and distress.

“Matloob is a working journalist associated with Daily Jang. He is the man of liberal thoughts” said Minhaj Mosvi, his elder brother. “We don’t know who is behind this forced abduction. We just want our brother back home as earliest as possible, he concluded.

The family has also registered a complaint in the police station, requesting the law enforcers to make all out efforts for the immediate recovery of their missing youth.

The police was unaware of the abduction however; they have registered the case after repeated requests.
